I love living in Ellerslie. I feel safe here and the village has almost everything I need. Mostly really good bus routes... cute place with cute events. I can't wait for the Fairy and Pirate festival!

Security monitoring
Ellerslie Village has installed a number of security cameras throughout the village to monitor the road and shop fronts of our local businesses. This is a preventative measure and in response to the increase in crime that is occurring in Auckland, and another way to keep our village safe for our community.
The monitoring is 24/7 and will be available only to the New Zealand Police. Requests from the public for access to the footage will be declined due to privacy laws.
Ellerslie Village also has a community patrol team who patrol the area a few nights a week.
